Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Yoshifumi Kanno ("I", "me", or "my") handles information in connection with the SyncFlow mobile application and related pages (the "Service").
SyncFlow is designed to help users synchronize selected data from supported source services, including Fitbit, into Apple Health. This Privacy Policy should be read together with the Terms of Use.
1. Information the Service Handles
The Service may handle the following categories of information:
- Authorization data and source-service data that you choose to sync, including Fitbit data when connected.
- Apple Health write/read permissions and health-related data needed for sync operations.
- App settings, sync preferences, local history, and local cache stored on your device.
- Support-request content that you choose to send through Contact Form or support email, including your message, screenshots, and any other details you decide to include.
- Support diagnostics used to prefill Contact Form or support email, such as source, entry surface, product name, app version, build number, platform, OS version, device, locale, and for web support flows page, referrer, and user agent.
- Diagnostic, crash, analytics, advertising, and purchase-related information processed by third-party providers.
2. How Sync Data Is Processed
SyncFlow is intended to perform routine sync operations primarily on your device and through third-party platform APIs. I do not intentionally operate my own custom backend to centrally store your connected-source or Apple Health content for normal use of the app.
However, third-party providers used by the Service may process certain technical, diagnostic, analytics, advertising, or purchase-related data as part of operating their services.
3. How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- authenticate your connected source account and perform requested sync actions;
- write or manage data in Apple Health based on your permissions and app settings;
- store preferences, local state, and sync-related metadata on your device;
- prefill structured support requests with technical context such as source, entry surface, app version, build number, platform, OS version, device, locale, and when applicable page, referrer, and user agent;
- review support requests and any screenshots or free-text details you choose to send;
- monitor reliability, debug crashes, improve app performance, and understand app usage;
- show ads, manage consent choices, and support subscription or purchase functionality where available;
- respond to support requests, feedback, or legal obligations.
4. Support Requests and Diagnostics
If you choose to contact support, your request can include the message you type, screenshots you attach, and auto-filled diagnostics that help me understand where the request came from and what environment was involved.
These diagnostics can include app- and device-related metadata, and for web Help Center support flows can also include page, referrer, and user agent. They are used to review and respond to your request, not to profile you for advertising.
5. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party services such as:
- Google AdMob / Google UMP for advertising and consent management;
- Firebase Analytics and Firebase Performance for analytics and performance monitoring;
- Sentry for crash and error reporting;
- RevenueCat for subscription and purchase infrastructure;
- Google Forms and your email provider when you choose to submit a support request or support email;
- Fitbit and Apple Health / HealthKit as external platform integrations.
These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their processing may occur in countries other than your own, subject to their own legal and technical controls.
6. Analytics, Advertising, and Consent
The Service may display ads and use analytics or crash-reporting tools. Ad-related consent, including privacy choices and applicable IDFA / consent flows, may be handled through Google UMP / Privacy & Messaging and related advertising infrastructure. Analytics, crash, and ad-tech processing is separate from the support diagnostics you choose to send in a Contact Form or support email.
7. Purchases and Subscriptions
If subscriptions or purchases are offered, related purchase information may be processed through Apple and RevenueCat. I do not directly process your payment card details.
8. Data Storage and Retention
Certain app settings, sync preferences, authorization-related state, and local cache may be stored on your device. Support diagnostics used to prefill Contact Form or support email can include device- and app-related metadata and may be temporarily generated on your device before you choose to send them. If you submit a Contact Form or support email, the submitted request and diagnostics may be retained by the third-party services involved in handling that request, such as Google Forms or your email provider, according to their own retention practices. Analytics, crash, advertising, and purchase-related providers may also retain technical information according to their own retention practices.
9. Deletion and Device Controls
The app includes controls intended to let you reset local sync state and remove data written by the app from Apple Health. Some data may also remain subject to Fitbit, Apple Health, AdMob, Firebase, Sentry, RevenueCat, or other provider-side retention and policies.
10. Security
I use commercially reasonable efforts appropriate for an independent software service, but no method of electronic transmission, storage, or platform integration is completely secure. I cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13, or under any higher minimum age required by the laws of your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, please contact me.
12. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, objection, consent withdrawal, or other privacy protections. Some of these rights may depend on the third-party platform or provider involved.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
14. Contact
